Evaluation
A speech/language evaluation is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours in duration. A case history is gathered from the parent about a child's developmental milestones and medical history, and then the child is administered formal standardized tests to measure his or her speech and/or language skills based on age. After the evaluation is complete, a detailed report will be provided to the parent containing a summary of the child's strengths and weaknesses, as well as an individualized plan of care with goals to target specific skills in which the child may need support
Therapy Sessions
A speech/language treatment session is conducted at the child's school or home. Materials and activities are carefully selected by the therapist to target the child's individual goals on his or her plan of care.
Therapy sessions are offered in the following time increments:

Informal Screening
Check on your child’s kindergarten readiness by screening speech and language skills.
Ideal for children 2-6 years old
Entire process takes 20 minutes or less
Completed at your child’s school/daycare
You receive a personalized report detailing your child’s communication skills
Completed by a licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist
Further evaluation available if necessary
Phone Consultation
Bright Speech LA offers the option of a free initial 30 minute consultation with you and your child to determine if he/she would benefit from a full evaluation. This provides education to families to support informed decision making.
